Beginners Terms & Conditions

Please be aware of the Course Booking and attendance conditions as follows:-

  • You must commit and complete all twelve hours worth of coaching sessions.
  • If you cannot attend the first two sessions then you will not be eligible to qualify for completion and must withdraw from the course.
  • If you miss any one of the remaining 4 sessions you can arrange a “catch-up” individual session with one of the Beginners team at your own expense.
    This is likely to be a Thursday evening at the teams discretion. Just ask on the appropriate night.
  • Remember your booking fee is non refundable –
    except for the following condition:-

    • If you find you cannot attend for any reason, in advance of the course beginning, you must advise me or one of the coaches
      at least two full weeks in advance to give us a chance to fill your place with another attendee.
    • If your place can be filled you will be eligible for a rebate.
    • If you cannot complete the course, already started, due to illness you will be given special dispensation on a follow-up course.

Course booking, duration and attendance criteria:-

  • Courses run each Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 9:00 with a mid term break, and for six consecutive weeks.
  • The cost for the course is £50.00 per person payable in advance.

  • Due to Child Protection requirements do please note -
    If a Junior attends a course a Parent or Guardian must also attend the same course.
    If a Junior joins the club then a Parent or Guardian must also join
  • Upon completion of the course the lead coach issues a pass certificate where he deems you’ve successfully completed the course.
    You are then eligible to join the club as a fully qualified archer.
    Club membership for juniors starts at age 9 however 8 year olds may start a beginners course provided their birthday falls a couple of months after the course starts
  • The club also has a Child Protection Officer as requires by the CPA, and will be on hand at the start and completion of each course. Her job is to guide the juniors and parents through registration and other legal requirements. Also on a day to day basis (on club days) to act as confidant for all juniors, and handle any problems or fears they have.
